Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

By using StudyScout, you agree to these terms. This is a starter document — it is not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before launch.

1. The service

StudyScout is a directory of public exam-prep and certification study communities. It is a catalog, not an exam provider, not a school or tutoring service, and not a certification authority.

2. Directory listings are external

Listings link to third-party communities that we do not control. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, current, safe or suitable for any purpose. You join external communities at your own risk — see the safety guide.

3. No exam or certification advice

Nothing on this site constitutes exam advice, tutoring, or a guarantee of any test result or certification. Communities may discuss study strategies, practice materials and scores; that does not make our listings official or endorsed. See the disclaimer.

4. Acceptable use

You may browse the directory for personal, non-commercial research. You may not use the site to:

  • scrape the dataset in bulk to republish it as your own directory,
  • attack, overload or interfere with the service,
  • submit fraudulent, malicious or unauthorized listings,
  • advertise leaked exam content, credential fraud or certificate mills,
  • harass or impersonate others.

5. Submissions and reports

You confirm you have the authority to submit information you provide. We may reject, edit or remove submissions at our discretion. Reports are reviewed manually and do not automatically change listings.

6. Intellectual property

The site's code and design are original. Platform names and logos belong to their respective owners; we are not affiliated with Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord or their parent companies. Exam names and certification trademarks (such as those of College Board, ETS, Pearson, CFA Institute, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, ISC2, PMI and medical boards) belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the focus of a community.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or from third-party communities you visit.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
